What You SEE is What You Get

Monday, August 20, 2007

When you think about your life and what you want, who you are, and what you're able to achieve, what do you see?

Is your vision cloudy?

Do you see yourself moving forward to fulfilling your purpose? Or do you see yourself stuck in an undesirable position?

Check out the following tips for developing a crystal clear vision.

1. Be careful about what you say. When people ask you how you're doing, do you have a tendency to talk about every little negative thing in your life? Or are you more likely to share good news and speak positive words into their lives? Believe it or not, your words have the power to affect how you see the world.

2. Raise your expectations. Do you go out each day expecting to have a lousy day? Or do you say "Today is going to be a great day"; "Today I have a chance to get a step closer to my goals"? Remember that your manifestations are driven by your expectations.

3. Let the past stay where it is...in the past! The whole concept of "vision" is to be able to see your present and future clearly. How can you see what's happening now or in front of you if you're looking behind you? Think about driving a car: The rear-view mirror is small and you're only supposed to take a peek every once in a while. But, the windshield is huge and allows you to see the road ahead.

4. Make conscious contact. Your mind is the quietest and clearest 5 minutes before you go to sleep and within the first 5 minutes that you wake up. Use this time to read or listen to something empowering. You can also use this time to pray and meditate on your life.

5. Ask the right questions. Instead of asking "Why aren't things going my way?", ask "What can I do to make things right?". Instead of asking "Why can't I find any satisfaction in the jobs I choose?", ask "What is my purpose and how can I live it?".
